What is a receipt number?

Every application you file with USCIS gets a 13-character receipt number (e.g. IOE1234567890). This number is the key to tracking your case.

The first three letters

The stages

Statuses usually follow this flow: case received, biometrics, review and decision. Each stage has its own average processing time.

Why is it hard to understand?

USCIS updates are often in technical English, and the same code can mean different things for different form types.

Tracking with immigo

When you enter your receipt number, immigo explains which stage your case is in, in your own language, and reminds you of key dates. The app talks to USCIS on your behalf.

You are not alone in this.

Ask immigo in your own language, track your case, upload documents and never miss an important date.
