What is an RFE?

An RFE is an official request USCIS sends when it needs extra documents or information to evaluate your application. It is not a denial.

Why do you get one?

The most important thing: the deadline

The most critical part of an RFE is the response deadline. Missing it can lead to a denial.

How to respond

Gather exactly what's requested, completely and in order; send all documents in a single response. Placing a copy of the RFE on top is good practice.

Understand it with immigo

You can upload your RFE to immigo: it recognizes the type, explains which documents are requested and reminds you of the deadline.

You are not alone in this.

Ask immigo in your own language, track your case, upload documents and never miss an important date.
